Community Development Administrator
This is a 12-month contract position. Under the direction of the CAO, promote activities and events from community organizations and community development programs and services of the municipality. Perform routine and complex administrative work in planning, organizing, coordinating and administering a variety of events and festivals.
Under the direction of the CAO and Deputy CAO, perform reception, clerical and financial assistance to the Municipal Administration & Finance Department.
This position requires a self-motivated person with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills who will make every effort to maintain or exceed the present standards of the municipality.
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of office management, as normally acquired through a community college diploma or equivalent with two years related office management experience
- Working knowledge of computer software is essential
- Proven success in writing grant proposals would be considered an asset
- Previous experience in a Municipal Environment would be considered an asset
- Must be a self starter to work independently and capable of meeting time schedules or deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be bondable
Salary range $56,435.27 to $66,394.44

Summer Student Positions
The Township of Bonnechere Valley is hiring Summer Students in a variety of positions within the following municipal departments:
Public Works Department:
- Public Works Labourer: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking two (2) labour students to perform patching, flagging, raking, sign installation, waste site custodian fill in when needed, and other duties as required. Must possess a valid G2 driver’s license.
Recreation Department
- Horticultural Labourer: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking two (2) students to perform grass weeding, trimming, watering, and other duties as required. Must possess a valid G2 driver’s license.
- Parks Maintenance Labourer: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking two (2) students to perform grass cutting, trimming and other duties as required. Must possess a valid G2 driver’s license.
- Swim Instructor: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking two (2) Swim Instructors to teach a Life Saving Society program. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must possess the Canadian Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certificate, Current National Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid training.
- Tourist Booth Attendant & Ambassador: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking two (2) Tourist Booth Attendant & Ambassadors to work at the Tourist Information Centre. Duties include greeting and directing the public to tourist attractions in the area, assisting with Music in the Park, and other duties when required. A good knowledge of the area is an asset.
Administration Department
- Administrative Assistant: The Township of Bonnechere Valley is seeking one (1) summer student to perform assistance in the municipal office. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls and general inquiries, directing to appropriate personnel when required, accept and input payments, and community development assistance.
