The Township of Bonnechere Valley has a by-law which establishes the requirements to conduct open air burns.
In order to conduct an open air burn residents must obtain a burn permit online or from the township office. There is no cost to obtain the permit; however, failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the burn by-law can result in fines and/or charges.
BE ADVISED THAT 24 HOUR NOTICE IS REQUIRED BEFORE PERMIT APPROVAL TO ALLOW THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO VISIT PROPOSED BURN SITES
If you have questions about open air burns, please call 613- 312-7361.
