2024-064 5 year accessibility plan (2024 revision)
The Township of Bonnechere Valley Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2025-2030 outlines the initiatives the Township has taken and plans to take to ensure compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). The Township of Bonnechere Valley is committed to ensure that persons with disabilities share the same rights, freedoms and obligations so that they may live as independently as possible and able to participate in all that the Township of Bonnechere Valley has to offer. Our plan describes the measures the Township has taken in the past and will take during the current and subsequent years to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to people with disabilities who use the facilities and services of the Township, including employees and members of the community at large.

The Township of Bonnechere Valley’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan will be available on the Township’s web site. Copies of the Plan will also be available at the Township Office. The Township of Bonnechere Valley will make every attempt to make this plan available to those with disabilities for their perusal, review and input.

The Township of Bonnechere Valley is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to
accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario’s accessibility laws.
The Township is committed to meeting its current and ongoing obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code respecting non-discrimination. The Township understands that obligations
under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its accessibility standards do not substitute or limit its obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or
obligations to people with disabilities under any other law.
The Township is committed to excellence in serving and providing goods, services or facilities to all customers including people with disabilities. Our accessible customer service policies are
consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equality of opportunity for people with disabilities.
Any policies of this organization that do not respect and promote the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity for people with disabilities will be modified or
removed.
